My wife and I had a significant bathroom leak across multiple tiles and corners. We elected to do a tub to shower conversion. From our first contact with Yunus of VCT, we felt like he listened to our concerns and needs. They assisted us in picking out cabinets and referred us to tile places. This freedom permitted my wife to shop and match the tiles she wanted. That was greatly appreciated. Alex was the project manager and was both communicative and responsive. He started a group text that we used to communicate the day before and throughout the process. The installers arrived early and worked hard all day. They installed a Schluter system, and from my research, did it flawlessly. They were meticulous in the tiling. Given our history with water intrusion, they listened and used an epoxy grout which significantly limits the need for sealing in the future. They then calked all corners and fixtures as well. The project finished on time and on budget. They even refunded some money because our subfloor did not need to be replaced, and we purchased some of our own tile. I can't say enough about the team, and I would definitely hire them again.Posted on Google![]()

We hired VCT to remodel our primary bathroom — relocating the toilet, expanding the shower area, and making room for two new vanities — and we had a great experience from start to finish. Before starting work, they listened and took the time to understand every change we wanted to make. Continuing collaboration and exchange of ideas was very good throughout the process. Their assessment of the work that needed to be done and their cost estimate were the most reasonable of all the contractors we interviewed. Throughout the project, VCT was very professional and super easy to communicate with. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and they always kept us in the loop regarding work schedule, permits, etc. The workmanship was excellent across the board, and in the end they delivered exactly what we envisioned. We’re really happy with how everything turned out and would gladly use VCT again for future projects. We highly recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I hired VCT Kitchen and Bath to remodel my bathroom shower, and they delivered an excellent experience from start to finish. They arrived on time every day, worked efficiently, and kept the space clean throughout the project. They removed the previous owner’s disability tub—a big, awkward fixture—and the transformation is so seamless you’d never know it was ever there. When a light fixture turned out to be faulty (something not even included in the original contract), they came back promptly and replaced it without hesitation. I also let them know at one point that the project was slightly outside my budget, and they were willing to adjust the scope of work to make it affordable without sacrificing quality. That flexibility and transparency really stood out. The finished shower looks fantastic, and the workmanship is clearly high‑quality. I’d absolutely recommend VCT Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking for reliable, professional remodeling work.Posted on Google![]()

I had a great experience with VCT Kitchen and Bath installing my kitchen cabinets. From start to finish, their communication was clear and professional, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Even after the job was completed, they were willing to come back promptly to fix a small issue (a missing screw), which I really appreciated. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up the area after the project. I would definitely recommend VCT Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking for quality work and reliable service!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Completed Bathtub to Shower Conversion Projects

Tell us where your home is located, what you want to change about the tub, and which parts of the bathroom you hope to keep. Start with a free in-home estimate to discuss the space and proposed work.
For initial budgeting, a tub-to-shower conversion may cost approximately $3,500–$14,000, depending on the design and installation scope. Basic prefabricated systems generally fall toward the lower end, while custom tile, curbless entries and extensive modifications can increase the cost.
Tub removal, disposal, plumbing changes, preparation, waterproofing, fixtures and glass all contribute to the estimate. Repairs identified after removal may also affect the final scope.
Compare estimates by looking at what each includes. One quote may allow for surrounding finish repairs or an enclosure that another leaves out. Ask how additional work is documented and approved, and distinguish material allowances from confirmed selections.
If you are also considering changes to the vanity, toilet or other parts of the room, our bathroom remodel cost guide provides broader budgeting context. Your conversion estimate should reflect your own space rather than a full-bathroom price range.
A focused conversion still needs a plan for the edges of the work. Removing a tub can reveal unfinished areas at the floor, wall or baseboard. Before deciding to retain every surrounding finish, consider whether matching materials are available and where a neat transition can be made.
This matters in a small bathroom tub-to-shower conversion, where a narrow strip of mismatched flooring can stand out. A deliberate border or a wider finish update may be worth discussing when an exact match is unavailable. If the floor needs more extensive work, coordinating bathroom flooring installation with the conversion lets you consider the finished surface and transitions together.
Before converting a bathtub to a walk-in shower, think about who uses the tub and why. Children’s baths, occasional soaking and other household routines may still make a bathtub useful, even when one person prefers a shower. If another bathroom has a tub, consider whether it is convenient for everyone who needs it.
Removing the only bathtub deserves a conversation about your plans for the home. There is no single arrangement that suits every household, and a conversion does not guarantee a particular resale result. When the needs of several family members extend beyond this one fixture, a broader bathroom renovation may give you more room to balance them.
Work in a frequently used bathroom affects routines outside the construction area. Identify an alternative place to shower, move everyday toiletries somewhere accessible, and discuss whether the toilet or sink will remain available during different stages. Ask before assuming that an untouched fixture can still be used while work is underway nearby.
Discuss the route through the home for removing the bathtub and bringing in materials. Stairs, narrow hallways, parking, and shared building access can influence the arrangements. For a condo or managed property, check building rules about working hours, deliveries and common-area protection before agreeing on a start date. Raising these details early helps establish practical expectations for everyone involved.
Bring your questions, inspiration photos and priorities to VCT Kitchen and Bath. We’ll help you explore a conversion that fits the existing bathroom and the way you want to use it.
